IMPORTANT PLEASE READ (June 2024)
- The event and support crew T-shirts are now on order! If anyone now wishes to drop out of this years event, we may not be able to give a full refund or defer to next year, due to T-shirt costs.
- If you do need to drop out, you must email us as soon as possible and we will attempt to swap your place with someone on the waiting list.
- Everyone on the waiting list will soon receive an email asking if they still wish to be on the waiting list and what their T-shirt style (mens or ladies) and size would be. The email will also ask if you will require the return bus trip to Cowes (via Newport).
- Any changes to runner details MUST be done through us and sent via the event email address. This is to ensure we have everyone’s contact details, T-shirt details and correct names for our check-in crew. Please DO NOT offer your place to anyone else, email us first!
- The event is limited in numbers, due to the maximum capacity of the two double decker buses for the return trip to Cowes (via Newport) and to keep the event at a comfortable and manageable size for the runners, support crew and pub stops, especially at our final stop at The Buddle Inn!
- If you can 100% guarantee that you will not need the return bus trip to Cowes (via Newport), please email us as soon as possible, as we may be able to release a few extra places to those on the waiting list. Please bear in mind that you will still need to find your own way to the start in the morning.
- Everyone MUST wear their event T-shirt or have it with them at all times, so the support crew know you’re part of the event and to allow you access to the buses and support cars.
REMINDER INFORMATION FROM PREVIOUS NEWS POST:
Saturday 21st September 2024 (9:30am for 10:30am start)
Entry is £20 (includes event T-shirt, buses & support cars)
Due to bus capacity we are limited to 150 places
- It’s a HASH R#N, not a race!
- You are encouraged to wear your event T-shirt at all times!
- If you arrive at a pub stop before the bus, you MUST wait to be checked in before leaving!
- If you wish to leave during the event, the Check-In crew MUST be informed!
The buses with your labelled kit bags will be available at every pub stop. There will be a front bus and a rear bus, so depending on your pace, you decide which bus to leave your kit on. The front bus will leave the pub stop when the last runner is approximately 1 mile away. The rear bus will leave the pub stop when the last runner is at the pub stop and is ready to either run on or get on the bus to the next pub stop.
There is a minimum average running pace of 14 minute miles for the first leg to the Blacksmiths (7.5 miles). Anyone slower than this will be encouraged to get on the bus to the Blacksmiths. If you think you may take longer than 1 hour 45 minutes to run 7.5 miles, please let us know via email and we can discuss your options in more detail.
